When will Crosstown Accessible Transit be launched?
Crosstownwill be launched sometime in February.
What will be the relationship between GVCSS and Crosstown Accessible Transit?
GVCSS will be the parent organization. Crosstownwill be fully supported by GVCSS’s financial and administrative resources.
Who will provide HandyDART service north of the Fraser as of July?
Crosstownwill be one of the companies bidding on this contract. We expect other companies to participate in the bid process.
Will Crosstown be a member of the Health Employers Association of BC?
Crosstown Accessible Transit will not be a member of HEABC nor bound by the terms of any collective agreement ratified by HEABC. As a result, CAT can engage in free collective bargaining with the union that represents its employees.
What happens next?
Crosstown Accessible Transit and its new expanded website will be officially launched sometime in February. Also in February, TransLink will put up for bidding a contract for one company to be the provider of HandyDART service north of the Fraser.
